Jussier da Silva

Brazil series ~ Volume thirty eight. Jussier ‘Formiga’ da Silva.

Brazilian fly weight Jussier da Silva (13-1-0) is a veteran of Shooto and Tachi Palace Fights; out of the Nova Uniao/ Kimura gym he holds 6 wins by submission. The current Shooto Brazil 123 lb Flyweight champion ranked number 2 in the world and is considered one of the best outside of the UFC’s new flyweight division. His biggest win was against top ranked Japanese fighter and Shooto champion Shinichi Kojima. Formiga’s only loss on his record is to Ian McCall in which he lost a close decision. A fast paced fighter who has a talent for taking opponents backs, we hope to see him in the UFC very soon.

“Wow my friend very cool, many thanks”

Alexandre Bezerra

Brazil series ~ Volume thirty seven. Alexandre ‘Popo’ Bezerra

Brazilian featherweight Alexandre Popo Bezerra (13-2-0) is a veteran of FCF, Max Fight and Bellator. A Jiu Jitsu brown belt under Roberto Godoi and background in olympic wrestling and amateur boxing he began his MMA career in Brazil going 8-1, with that one loss to the UFC’s Charles Oliveira. Bezerra currently trains in Philadelphia at Daddis Fight Camps having moved to the U.S from Sao Paulo, he trains alongside fellow Brazilian Wilson Reis. Signed by Bellator in 2010 he debut against Sam Jones at Bellator 46 putting on an amazing performance winning via triangle. Bezerra would continue his impressive run of wins going 5-0 finishing every opponent by submission or TKO. In 2012 he was apart of the Season 6 featherweight tournament and drew the highly experienced, top ranked Marlon Sandro in the quarter finals. In a close fight Bezerra gave a tough fight, nearly finishing it in the 3rd round, when he dropped Sandro with punches. Unfortunately the decision didn’t go his way and he was eliminated from the tournament. Alexandre Bezerra has solid stand up, great wrestling and dangerous submissions. A fighter who goes for the finish,  he is always entertaining to watch. I truly believe he will be a champion one day.

British featherweight Ronnie “Kid Ninja” Mann (21-5-1) is a veteran of Cage Rage, Sengoku, Bellator and is the current Cage Gladiators & Shark fights champion with 3 wins by knock out and 11 by submission. He first gained attention through his two wars against Ashleigh Grimshaw at Cage Rage. In 2008 he was signed by Sengoku for their featherweight tournament, sadly being defeated by Hatsu Hioki in the quarter finals. With Sengoku going through financial problems, he was allowed to fight Douglas Evans at Shark Fights in which he won the the 145lb championship. Shortly after Sengoku folded , Ronnie was signed by Bellator to compete in their  Summer Series tournament, winning the opener he lost a decision to future Bellator champion Pat Curran in the semi finals. Mann bounced back with a great submission victory over Kenny Foster in the Season 6 qualifier  but lost in the quarter finals via decision to Mike Corey. Ronnie Mann is a well rounded fighter with solid boxing, great wrestling and a brown belt in Jiu Jitsu; always exciting I consider him one of the best fighters in the U.K.
